Whatsapp Update Problem: It takes control

Are you part of a group which involves all your relatives, your mother, your uncles, your aunts, your cousins which keep sending you “shocking news” or “you won’t believe it” which is neither shocking nor unbelievable. You probably are, and they are probably muted for a full on year. But guess what they are coming back!!

WhatsApp upcoming update for September 2016:

Whatsapp has introduced a new secret feature which allows anyone to add any contact from their cell phone using ‘@’ while messaging. If God forbid, they decide to add you, and it will not matter if you are muted or not, you will get notifications. This update comes for Apple phones (iOS), Android phones (android), windows and blackberry phones as well.

Apart from this, WhatsApp also added the ability to quote messages and photographs in a group chat. You will have to hold the message where you are quoted and press reply. This, of course, many users believe is “extremely important”

Imagine now, will you just silent your phone forever and ignore even the calls that matter. Will you just delete the WhatsApp? Or just exit out of the group and become “that outsider” who no one will like?

When WhatsApp was bought by Facebook in 2014, the founder assured users their data would remain completely private – separate from the social network.

“Respect for your privacy is coded into our DNA, and we built WhatsApp around the goal of knowing as little about you as possible,” the privacy policy stated.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, during the accusation, had  said: “It would be pretty stupid of us to interfere.”

But, guess Facebook just couldn’t control it.
